Why Penduline

What makes the difference

Hands-on craftsmanship

Every watch is handled personally at the bench. There is no outsourcing, no batch processing — just careful, considered work from start to finish.

Written estimates first

Nothing proceeds without your agreement. A written quote is prepared after inspection so you can decide at your own pace with full information in hand.

Progress documentation

For restoration projects, photographs are shared at each meaningful stage so you remain connected to what is happening with your piece throughout.

Proper tools and parts

We use workshop-grade equipment and source quality parts appropriate to each movement. Generic solutions are avoided where better options exist.

Timing verification

Movement services include a timing check across positions using a timing machine. The results are recorded and shared as part of the completed job.

Plain communication

We explain what we find in ordinary language — no jargon designed to impress, just honest information so you can make the right decision for your watch.

Take the First Step

Not sure what your watch needs?

Bring it in, or send a message and describe it. A bench inspection is a good starting point — from there, every option is laid out clearly so there is no pressure to commit to anything.

Common Questions

Things people often ask

How long does a movement service typically take?

A standard movement service usually takes between two and three weeks. More involved pieces or those waiting for specific parts may take longer. We will give you a realistic timeline when we prepare your written estimate, and we keep you updated if anything changes.

Do I need to book in advance for an inspection?

Walk-ins are welcome, though sending a message ahead of time helps us set aside proper bench time for your watch. Inspections are unhurried and we prefer not to rush them, so a brief heads-up lets us prepare for your visit.

What kinds of watches do you work on?

We work on mechanical and automatic watches — dress pieces, vintage daily wearers, and significant personal or family timepieces. We do not service quartz movements or smartwatches, and we are honest when a piece is beyond the scope of what we handle well.

Can I leave my watch without committing to a service?

Yes. The inspection produces a written report and estimate. You are free to take it away or simply decide not to proceed — there is no obligation attached to leaving your watch for assessment. We will store it safely until you are ready to give us an answer.

How much does a full restoration cost?

Our Restoration Atelier Project begins at ฿33,500 and covers movement work, case conservation, and dial care over an agreed timeline. The final figure depends on the scope of the piece and any parts required. Everything is outlined in writing before we begin.

Is my watch insured while it is with you?

Watches in our care are kept in a secured space and handled with proper precautions. We can discuss insurance and liability details when you drop off your piece. For particularly valuable watches, we recommend confirming cover with your own insurer before dropping off.
